Birthday during virus (part trois).

I just wanted to share the wonderful birthday card my quarantine buddy made for me. It’s a photo of us at the fabulous Cafe Du Marche on the Rue Cler during a past visit to Paris. Note the real string holding the masks. Totally made my birthday.

More Spring wildlife

A pair of this season’s first scaled quail appeared at our bird bath and this one was especially proud!

Ok… so this happened.

15 years ago at 9:02 a.m., the Arthur P Murrah Federal Building was bombed in Oklahoma City, OK. Over 600 were injured and 168 were killed (19 were children in day care). The bomber was a Gulf War vet who was sympathetic to the cult in Waco and white supremacists.

I’m sad this tragedy has marked my birthday… but it needs to be remembered with all we are going through. We are seeing the same people spreading the same lie that caused this. And we need to stop them.

Stay home. Don’t kill innocent people.

Pink Super Moon 4_7_20

The moon is down
All over town
The forecast is gray
Now that she’s gone away
The stars in the skies
Fell out of her eyes
They shattered when they hit the ground
And now the moon is down
The sun will be fine
It’ll still shine all the time
The sky will be blue
And do what it’s supposed to do
You see gravity pulls
But it can’t keep you around
It’ll be one long day
And now the moon is down
The moon is down
All over town
The stars in the skies
Fell out of her eyes
The gravity pulls
But it can’t hold you down
It’ll be one long day
Now the moon is down
It’ll be one long day
Now the moon is down
