A fire; likely caused by lightning and dry conditions, has ignited just North of Santa Fe up along the Rio en Medio, a beautiful steam that flows out of the Sangres and through Tesuque on its way to the Rio Grande. As of this post, there is still no containment due to the inability to reach it by fire crews. The fire threatens the Nambe and Tesuque pueblos as well as the Nambe Resevroir. The smoke adds to those fires raging in Arizona, Colorado and California.
Global warming has now become a yearly threat to the natural beauty of the West and to its very survival. Stop this madness and support the Green New Deal.
Don’t wait until you smell smoke.
