Smoke and sunsets 8_11_26
Smoke from the Frijoles Fire, North of Santa Fe has now crept down to us. The air quality this morning was “unhealthy” for us and “hazardous” for downtown Santa Fe. We aren’t able to open our windows at night to … Continue reading

I realized I hadn’t got around to posting the smoke and sunset shots from the night of the eclipse. Lots of smoke columns that day and a very smoky evening.
Birds, flowers and more smoke…
More smoke billowing over the mountains. Also… our first Iris bloom for 2022 and a shot of a passing Raven. Finally, another timelapse of the pyrocumulus (or flammagenitus cumulus) clouds from Casa Jabo.
Fire is getting a bit too close 5_10_22.
Noticed clouds sprouting over the Sangres this afternoon. A flare up somewhere on the West side of the Hermit Creek Fire. Gone by sunset but still unsettling. This fire is now spreading North at a pretty good clip. Thankfully it … Continue reading
