Minnesota – January 2026

The deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti; along with the deaths and trauma of those in detention, the attacks on citizens and the climate of fear, are inexcusable and a sign of how far our government has fallen into fascism. But there is hope with the protests and backlash. Here are two interesting articles for our times along with what you can do to help. Oh… and call your representatives and tell them to abolish ICE.

The first link is an article by Radley Balko comparing the current situation in Minnesota to the occupation of Boston by the British prior to the Revolutionary War.

This next link is to an archived version of a piece by Adam Serwer in the Atlantic describing the failure of MAGA in Minnesota.

Finally, a link to ways of helping those in Minneapolis fighting ICE.
