Time-lapse of the busy sky as the monsoons move in this week.
Biggest rally at the Santa Fe Capitol this year.

A pair of coyotes were out in the greenbelt… hopefully catching a few prairie dogs.

Drove up above the Village of Pecos to investigate but decided to have lunch along our favorite river, the Pecos. Lots of mayflies and larger winged insects are out for the Spring, so the fish are biting and the fishermen are catching! While our spot was very nice, there was an excess of trash along other banks that we tried to clean up a little. : (

While photographing some nice cumulus congestus storm clouds, I noticed a small funnel cloud had developed along the edge of the storm clouds. We can get tornadoes but they are extremely rare and never very large. We do get quite a few dust devils that re-arrange the outdoor furniture and leave a layer of dust if the windows are open.

The recent rains have helped green things up considerably. Our irises are now in full bloom and the wildlife (like thrashers, scales quail and fence lizards) are up and about.

Nice flowering cloud at sunset probably signifying the end of the stormy weather.
