They are now regularly visiting and especially interested in the prairie dog dens. At night, they like to sing!

Enjoying the garden color before next week’s early freeze.

Landing on our Piñon tree for a bite.

An accumulation of cumuli, rainbows and light rays!

Smoke clears every once in awhile and we get glimpses of the clear atmosphere. Otherwise, there isn’t much to photograph.

A semi-smoky sunset followed by a thick layer of smoke all day. I feel for the fire fighters that have to breathe this (and deal with the scorching temps). Time for a Green New Deal…NOW!

A fire; likely caused by lightning and dry conditions, has ignited just North of Santa Fe up along the Rio en Medio, a beautiful steam that flows out of the Sangres and through Tesuque on its way to the Rio Grande. As of this post, there is still no containment due to the inability to reach it by fire crews. The fire threatens the Nambe and Tesuque pueblos as well as the Nambe Resevroir. The smoke adds to those fires raging in Arizona, Colorado and California.
Global warming has now become a yearly threat to the natural beauty of the West and to its very survival. Stop this madness and support the Green New Deal.
Don’t wait until you smell smoke.
