We chose to spend the day visiting the area where Union and Confederate troops battled for 3 days in March 1862 at the Battle of Glorietta Pass. The weather was perfect and while the trail was close to the freeway, it had plenty of trees and nice views. The morning began with an appearance by the missing redtail and the evening had a coyote in hiding and lovely clouds. Nice way to spend my B-Day!
