PJays and RAIN!

The flock of marauding piñon jays are back this winter. They fly from feeder to feeder and gobble down or scatter the seed and then; just as quickly as they appear, they’re gone. And we also have had a measurable amount of rain this Christmas Eve. Best present ever!

I’ve discovered a new spot to photograph sunsets that doesn’t include my neighbor’s aerials or roof coolers. Found it while cloud chasing. Last night’s sunset from my drive and the rest are from today.

Bike ride

The weather has been unseasonably warm for yet another year and I decided to take my old bike out for a short 4 mile ride after at least a year ignoring it. 15 years old, 3 chains, a couple of brake pads and assorted cables, a new head set and and me just a tad bit heavier… and its still riding like a champ.
