Checking out a new trail that goes along the ridge line and provides some great views.

15 years ago at 9:02 a.m., the Arthur P Murrah Federal Building was bombed in Oklahoma City, OK. Over 600 were injured and 168 were killed (19 were children in day care). The bomber was a Gulf War vet who was sympathetic to the cult in Waco and white supremacists.
I’m sad this tragedy has marked my birthday… but it needs to be remembered with all we are going through. We are seeing the same people spreading the same lie that caused this. And we need to stop them.
Stay home. Don’t kill innocent people.
Or what I happen to work on when I am alternately bored and angry.

The moon is down
All over town
The forecast is gray
Now that she’s gone away
The stars in the skies
Fell out of her eyes
They shattered when they hit the ground
And now the moon is down
The sun will be fine
It’ll still shine all the time
The sky will be blue
And do what it’s supposed to do
You see gravity pulls
But it can’t keep you around
It’ll be one long day
And now the moon is down
The moon is down
All over town
The stars in the skies
Fell out of her eyes
The gravity pulls
But it can’t hold you down
It’ll be one long day
Now the moon is down
It’ll be one long day
Now the moon is down

Brought the camera along in case the bald eagle was in the neighborhood. He was a no show but other critters were out.
