At the beginning of April, I noticed a pair of Red-tailed Hawks soaring above the greenbelt. I also spotted them sitting in the junipers, as well as carrying sticks up into a tall Aspen where they were building a nest (or maybe reinforcing an abandoned one). A week ago a storm moved in and we had a powerful micro-burst of wind. Since then, I haven’t seen them around the nest so they may have found another spot with more protection.
