I’ve been sitting out with the camera trying to photograph the elusive pair of Harriers that have been regularly flying our greenbelt (and scaring the birds away from our feeders!). I barely noticed one hiding in a tree while the other flew nearby. Today, I got to watch as one sat on a snag and preened and stretched. And there are always coyotes that pass by! There are 2 harriers that are hunting up and down the greenbelt. Today, one landed near a coyote who turned and took an interest in the bird. Luckily it flew off before becoming lunch! The evening sunset gave the snow on the Sangres a nice crimson hue.
Here are photos that I’ve been meaning to add to last year’s posts but never got around to. Included are a trip to Big Tesuque Creek, our vacation at Lake Tahoe, our resident Great Horned Owl, a plastic Maizey and finally an assortment of time-lapse clouds.

After a rainy Saturday and a below freezing evening, we woke up to some beautifully elegant ice crystals on our cars. Had to catch them before they vanished with the rising Sun!
